A plump, whimsical succulent plant in a bright yellow, round ceramic pot, set atop a curved wooden bookshelf filled with artfully arranged, color-coordinated books and playful trinkets—a rubber duck, a tiny origami crane, and a rainbow stress ball. The background features softly blurred fairy lights draped across powdery mint green walls. Soft natural afternoon light illuminates the plant and shelf, creating delicate highlights on the pot’s glossy curve while casting gentle, rounded shadows below. Captured from a slightly elevated angle with vibrant, saturated colors and a shallow depth of field, the mood is uplifting and lighthearted, embracing growth and resilience in a playful, photographic style.

About Me(g)

I’m in my 30s, married, and living in the beautiful (and very rainy) Pacific Northwest. Writing has basically become a survival skill for me, especially in the winter. My husband and I are child‑free, but we have two beloved fur‑babies — one dog, one cat, both convinced they run the household.

I built this calm, hopeful space not only to track my journey through breast cancer but to build community through shared human experience and emotion.
